About the Potter behind Pottery Garden

As a potter and a gardener, one of my favorite things in the world is the ability to take something and
transform it into something else. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been amazed and delighted by the way
tiny seeds turn into growing plants; and with a potter’s wheel, I love how I can shape a gray little lump of
clay into a colorful planter or bowl. The transformation never stops being magical to me.

With my background in science, having worked in research labs for years, I love experimenting and
taking notes. How will these plants grow if you change the fertilizer, or if you plant them closer
together? What will happen to these pots if you lower the ceramics kiln temperature? What will you get
if you put this glaze on top of that one? Trying new things in my garden and in my pottery studio keeps it
fresh and fun for me.

Pottery Garden Ceramics is a marriage of my two passions. I love to make ceramic pieces for gardens
whether it be planters, vases, toad abodes, or fairy homes. I also have a line of original platters and
bowls to make the serving of your everyday meals special. Each piece is handmade from start to finish, a
process that takes about 2 weeks to complete.

Thank you for your interest in Pottery Garden Ceramics!
